On the eve of my monthly payday, I am itching for some sha-sha-sha shopping.Spring is prematurely in the Los Angeles air, Topshop just opened at the Grove, and my closet is looking way too full of black these days--I am ready for some retail! What tops the must-have-shopping list but a brand new pair of kicks.
Typical caesar salads tend not to do it for me, but if you add embellishments to this culinary classic--the results can be quite delightful. I take the typical caesar and give it a good dousing of lemon, add hard boiled eggs, avocado, and corn. Sometimes I will substitute kale (well massaged) for the lettuce base and go big and make peppery homemade croutons. Today I hadan embellished caesar for lunch. With an Arnold Palmer, it was perfection.
